At The Treehouse, we believe that learning should be enjoyable and engaging. We promote play-based learning integrated with nature. Our aim is to develop life-long learners that are self-motivated and confident. We focus on building emotional intelligence and character above all else.
The Treehouse was established in 2017 by a group of like-minded parents who shared a common goal of bringing nature and play back into their children’s lives. It began as a small gathering of families who wanted to create an environment where children could freely express themselves, embrace curiosity, and learn through play, all while being surrounded by the beauty of nature.
Located in the heart of Johor Bahru, The Treehouse currently occupies two bungalow properties overlooking a community park. The premises are adorned with mature Angsana trees, planted by the community, which provide a sheltered space for children to spend more time outdoors. The outdoor areas have also been thoughtfully designed using bio-philic principles to foster a meaningful interaction between children and nature.
Ee Vynn, the founder of The Treehouse, is a mother of three who holds a Diploma in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Her journey into early childhood education began when she noticed her eldest child losing interest in learning at the age of four. Recognizing that play is a natural way for children to learn and develop important life skills, she pursued a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education to deepen her understanding and passion for the field.
